Wood Anenomes
Went with Nelson on my favourite bike ride today from Bishopstone to Alfreds Castle and back along the Ridgeway.
Alfred's Castle is one of my favourite places on the planet. It is a couple of miles south of the Ridgeway. There is a special light and atmosphere there. There's an aerial view of it here.

In the woods just by Ashdown House I had hoped to see Bluebells in ambundance, but I am probably a couple of weeks too early. There were however some beautiful Wood Anemomes. In places the floor of the wood was covered with them. It was one of those lovely warm, early spring days with a slight chill on the wind.

Yaz was reading a book last night and wanted to know how the word anemone was pronounced .. also we thought that they always lived under the sea (the book she was reading was about a cat in a garden).
Now we know they can be flowers too.
Hope all is well .. good luck with No 4 :)
