Liz's Mum and I went to visit Millie and Liz in Swindon hospital today. We paid for our parking and turned up at the ward. On the door was a sign for visiting times.

Only partners are allowed between 10am and 8pm. Other visitors between 2pm and 8pm. We rang the bell anyway and they refused to allow Liz's mother to come in.

I cannot see what the point of that is. We have paid for a private room even though it is NHS and the place is empty. I got really cross and embarrassed Liz. Hmmph.

Anyway to do a bit of good I gave my parking ticket to someone about to buy one.

We worked it out that they are raking it at least £500 per hour from the car park alone. Its a disgrace. Now there's a business opportunity in the next field to the hospital - buy it, pave it over and run a shuttle service to the hospital at half the hospital prices! You'd still make a fortune.
