Today we have been mostly stacking wood and playing with snails...
I've got another whole day at home today. Mabel is off school too for a teacher training day, so we've been doing things together. We've been shopping, cleaned the BBQ and tested it (prolly have one tonight just to be sure...) and we've re-stacked the wood pile as it was a bit messy.
While stacking wood we found a lot of snails, which Mabel has adopted as pets... here is her commentary.

Hi Simon, you obviously missed the reference to Beans and Maggots, but then it was a long time ago. Looks like you are keeping well. I must owe you a pint or two. Be good to catch up sometime. Simon.
I do like your snails Mabel. Maybe you could think about opening a hotel and theme park as I have lots of snails in my garden who would love to holiday in your garden :-)

I do remember thinking I had maggots in my baked beans... But I can't for the life of me remember when that was, I have a feeling it was as long ago as when I was a student...?
No not M. Incidentally, the canoes we used have finally been laid to rest, but not at sea.

When I think about it, that must mean I cared about traceability as long as 22 years ago. Blimey. I'd never traced it back that far. ;-)
