Car from '62, music from '66, journey from yesterday on the way home

Well not a great deal happened yesterday after all. I had been expecting to be a father again, but it was a false call... Maybe tonight.

I shot this rather shaky video in the P4 on my way home to the sounds of Simon and Garfunkel on the 45 year old radio as I slipped back in time through the Cotswolds.

For the English reading this - note the car is Left Hand Drive which makes it a pretty unusual P4, one of only a few hundred made in 1962 and the only one I've ever seen in England. It would have been more appropriate to have had some Mimi Farina, Joan Baez or Bob Dylan on the radio. The car used to belong to Mimi. Sadly she died of cancer a few years ago. Joan was Mimi's sister, and Bob's girlfriend. I first saw the car in a terrible state in San Francisco and talked to a friend who runs a classic car garage in the UK about it, and he'd heard of the car over there. Before I knew it, he'd imported it for me, hoping I'd buy it. A long time later I did...
