Update from Vrhnika, Slovenia

After an uneventful flight arrived safe and sound in Ljubljana. The driver was waiting for me, and as I had only hand luggage I swiftly passed through immigration and was whizzed at speed to the offices I am visiting. It's not such good weather this time so I didn't get to see the beautiful mountain views on the approach to the airport. It's been raining on and off since arriving, but is a very pleasant 24C.

I met with Igor and we had a quick snack (he tried to get me some "squashed meatballs" - but the cafe had sold out - so I didn't find out what they were!). We spent a couple of hours planning the next couple of days and looking at Oracle APEX. It doesn't seem to handle web services very well... It deals with a simple API like the Amazon or Google ones, but anything a bit more complex it fails over with error messages. We pointed it at the two HF ones and it didn't like either the RPC model or the document literal one. Thats a bit of a downer as we'd hoped to make progress there.

I'm staying in the Bajc Inn (http://www.gostisce-bajc.com/) - where I've stayed both previous times I've been here. This time thankfully I am not on the side of the Inn nearest the motorway so its relatively quiet. I also have a very good free WiFi connection (take note Hotel Russell - FREE!!!).
I'm off for a beer with Igor later on after a bite to eat.
