Ukrainian Airways
Had a great flight back to the UK from Slovenia. I was picked up from my hotel at 5.45am and whisked to the airport in record time.
Took a few goes to get through the scanner - something in my shoes kept setting off the metal detector. I wear Doc Marten Chelsea Boots with "bouncing soles" which I had always assumed were just air filled pockets - maybe there's springs in there after all!
As we went forward to board the plane it was announced that the plane was provided by Ukranian Airways. I'm not sure why but that worried me a little. I guess since the Chernobyl disaster I've worried that Ukrainian stuff may not be properly maintained. I needn't have worried it looked lovely shiny and new. Inside much of the signage was in what I assume was Russian. The air hostesses looked very Russian too and spoke beautiful English.
I sat next to a lady who was examining her flight schedule and I noted that she was heading for Tampa, Florida. The fella on my other side was heading for Ireland. I think I irritated the Florida lady as I had my overhead cooling fan on as I was roasting hot. She kept grunting and wrapped a scarf around her head. We didn't talk. I have heard that the residents of Florida feel the cold... she looked Slovenian tho and was reading a Slovenian newpaper.

Yes... us Floridians have thin blood and freeze easily, but I'd like to think we are friendlier than your flight mate.
