More on the day...

I took the train to London today instead of my more usual mode of transport to the capital (by coach) as I needed a more definite time of arrival as I had a fixed meeting at 10.30am - coach times didn't line up too well with this. But the train is nearly 6 times more expensive! It takes half the time tho.

They still operate the nearly 40 year old Intercity 125 trains on this line... they are lovely trains capable of travelling 125MPH between Swindon and London.

The train was packed like sardines with every inch full of people standing and every seat taken. Surely it can't be safe to travel at 125mph like that?

At the meeting was Jeff Orenstein, someone I've not seen for several years. Jeff, David and I started eZoka.com along with another person back in 1999. It seems ages ago now. It was great to see him again.

Sorry about the quality of the photo Jeff! I must have had handshake at the time...

Wow! Blast from the past.

Also couldn't help but smile with your turn of phrase "with another person" .. understatement at its best .. so damn English and all the better for it :)

I did think about the words to use as I typed that and couldn't conjure up quite the right ones.... may be it was OK after all.

I dreamt of Alton Towers last night, and going on the roller coasters with a hang over.

They were some days to remember for sure.
