Fame for my Rover

My lovely Rover P4 is heading for fame shortly. I spent the past few hours with a lovely man called James Taylor. James is one of the world experts on the Rover marque and is running a feature on my unusual car in the magazine he edits The Rover Enthusiasts Magazine. (http://www.roverenthusiastmag.co.uk)

My Rover is unsual in a number of respects

  • It is an export model that first went America

  • Only 11 were sold in 1962 in America

  • It is Left Hand Drive

  • It used to belong to Mimi Farina

  • I imported it from San Francisco in 2000

  • It is rust free

  • I upgraded it to the ultimate Rover P4 spec possible - fitting a P5 3litre engine

  • I love it...

I believe the car will be featured in next month's magazine. Hopefully I'll get some of the pictures from the photoshoot in the not too distant future and will publish some of them here.

A Rover P4 pictured by the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco in the 1960s. Could it be mine?

And on my drive in 2007.
