Part 3 of my trip begins tomorrow
Today was much busier than I expected it to be. I worked a good 8 hours, picking through data, getting stuff copied, emails, calls etc. It poured with rain this morning here so I didn't mind being inside. This afternoon was fine though and the pool looked very inviting outside, but I didn't have time
This evening Prabha came over and we went out for a meal and to see some ancient stone carvings just down the road in a lovely seaside town (can't remember the name and I've packed the cards now...) We then went for a meal by the sea and had Tandoori Fish (Pomfritt) which was excellent. The chef showed us his kitchen and how to make Naan bread which I'd only ever seen on TV before. The Tandoor was hot! Must make one for the garden next summer...
I've got plenty of photos to post, but have packed everything away now, so can't put them here today. Will try again in a day or so.
Tomorrow at 6am ish I head back to Chennai to fly to Ahmedabad where I will meet up with Mahesh and see his Textile factory. In the evening we will take an overnight train to Akola in central India. I expect it to be pretty hot there. From there we will travel out to their organic cotton farms and I'll see what they are doing. I imagine it will be quite different from what I saw in the hills. In the evening I believe we than train it back overnight to Ahmedabad and my trip comes to an end. I'll spend half a night close to the airport ready to fly back home to the UK first thing Saturday morning leaving at around 2am I think... Youch.
