Final day in Chennai

My last day in Chennai was the best by far. I discovered a different part of Chennai up the road from my hotel only 100yds or so away. There was a huge Church there and some very nice shops. Unfortunately I didn't take any camera with me. It was odd seeing the gospel messages on a wall in India.

I managed to buy a lovely doll for Mabel in full Indian dress with sari and everything. I hope she'll like it.

In the evening Prabha sent her car to get me and I went to her house for an evening meal meeting her children and very friendly Basset Hound "Corbi". When I say children they are in their 20s and they were lovely.

We had a superb meal of various local dishes and spicy fish. The starter was a spicy beetroot, lentil and tomato drink which I really must get the recipe for. It was superb. Thanks Prabha.

At 10pm we left for the train.
