Chennai to Salem by sleeper train

At 10.15pm Prabha and I boarded the A/C Sleep carriage to find our bunks. These were much nicer than the ones I traveled on in Pakistan back in January.

It was cramped, a bit hard but comfortable enough for me to sleep for most of the journey.

At 5.30am we arrived here in Salem and checked into the very snazzy Hotel Devi Towers. Our home for the next 3 nights before we head into the jungle...
