The journey home

Finally started my journey home just after 2am this morning. I had to wake the receptionist up at the hotel to pay my bill and get the car to come. Not good service.

However I was quickly whisked to the airport where a huge crowd was gathered. I've no idea why but there must have been hundreds and hundreds of people all pressing round the exit to see something...?

Anyway, I pressed through the crowds to get in to the airport. It was a complete shambles. I have seen a few international airports now. This was the worst by a long long way. Complete mayhem. No signage. Hundreds of people milling about not knowing where to go. Too few staff. Useless. If Ahmedabad wants to be a major airport for business they need to improve considerably.

Once through I thought I may have some time for last minute gifts. BUT there were no shops! First airport I've been to with a complete abscence of duty free post check in.

I got upgraded, as the plane was so full. I had seat 1D. Front row. I sleep the whole way from Ahmedabad to Doha. Yay! So it passed very quickly. I feel good now.

Gotta dash, we're boarding for London.

Bye all!

Best flight I've ever had. Doha to London was at most 1/3 full. So I had 4 seats to myself to spread out on and sleep. Luxury. I was home in no time. Thanks.
