Fisherman part 2.
An hour or so ago my phone in the room rang. It was the Fisherman, wanting me to meet his family. How very odd. I don't know whether I should or not. Why does stuff like this seem to happen to me?
A blog from a concerned consumer. A place to record things about where I travel to, often places I've never seen before. Oh and a few things about daily life in a small rural community....

Simon don't meet him unless you arrange to meet in a public place with lots of people about. Just stay safe please!

Well if it was me, I'd definitely make my excuses and not meet up! There's more than a slight whiff of oddness here.
Don't worry folks. Thanks so much for your concerns. I don't intend to go anywhere other than hotel reception. If he turns up here with his family I'd happily say a quick "hello" to them and make my excuses and return to my room. It's odd, to us, but I think normal to want to meet foreigners especially us "Britishers".
dont go its not worth risking it + if you will go and give your details to complete strangers ........

So? Did you meet up, did you? We need a fisherman story update.
No - I didn't meet him. I've been really busy working all day. He did ring though, and I had a chat with him and wished him well etc apologised that I had not got enough spare time to meet up. From now on my name is Fred and I'm staying in the Hilton.
Good choice Fred! How is the Hilton these days
HILTON! HA!
Thanks for the plug. :o)
