Santa Cruz - Friday
On the way to San Francisco yesterday we stopped in Santa Cruz. I spent the night here too, and will do some more exploring around where I used to work for Borland 10 years ago later this morning.
On the quay we saw Sea Lions just messing about, barking at each other.
There was a very cool Plymouth convertible on the quay, clearly owned by a woman, and we spotted her we think working in one of the cafes - at least she looked cool enough to drive such a car... ;-)
We had a quick coffee and then headed on towards San Francisco.

Later in the evening I arrived back and this was the view from my room. I remember staying here 10 years ago for weeks at a time, and its as laid back and relaxed as I remember. The sounds of the sea breaking from the hotel window. Surfer dudes, skaters and long bearded old folks wandering around. The occassional Harley and pickup trucks with big V8 burbles. Peaceful and pleasant.
I ate on the quay and wandered back and slept like a baby after a long week.

That "coffee" looks more like dessert!
