A day early

Picture this...

Just now my phone rang. My colleague Farhan from Pakistan was on the end of it. "Where are you?" he said, "I've been waiting 2 hours".

At this point I've just dragged myself out of bed in San Francisco. He, meanwhile is at the meeting point I am due to meet him at tomorrow in London Heathrow airport. Somehow he has managed to arrive a day early in a strange and very foreign country. I can't imagine how that must feel. If it was me I'd be in a right panic. But he seemed calm and collected. A series of calls later and I think it's sorted.

I had a fortune cookie last night that said "Some unexpected excitement would occur". Perhaps this was it...
