eXoka Christmas meet

8 years ago along with 2 Americans (Jeff Orenstein - see blog link) and my wife's uncle we started a business called eZoka. The technical team were based in the back room of the True Heart pub next to my house. My first employee was a fella called Paul Smedley (of http://nologo.co.uk). Before long we had about 18 people working there, one of whom was Darrell Russell (see Dax Mind Mapper blog link).

The 3 of us met up for a drink in the pub last night. It was great to see them again. Sadly others couldn't make it. Paul and Darrell have been involved on and off too with HF so its good to meet from time to time. Paul designed the HF logo.

But for the rest of the crew here's Darrell and Paul. For those that don't know these guys - Paul is the one with the bald head. Darrell used to have really long hair in a pony tail mostly for those who don't recognise him. Both rode big motorbikes and I seem to remember regularly fell off or crashed them! None of us have motorbikes any more apart from Nick and Rhys as far as I know (not counting my trial bike in bits in the shed). We're all getting older perhaps.

Hey, it was only the one bike that I crashed. OK .. I did write it off and broke my collar bone in the process but it was just the one crash (though I suppose I should own up to writing off a Renault Clio too).

It was good to meet up with you and Paul but really not long enough .. next time it'll have to be a meal too :)

Take it easy .. oh and I look forward to hearing/seeing more about your travels :)
