Something different

Here's something many of you probably don't know about me....

Since the dawn of the internet age (well 1997 I think it was actually) I have hosted websites for people. It all started when I started a company called Village Idiots Ltd and started putting together the idea for villages.co.uk which was to create a framework that every village in the uk could use to create a website. The idea was short lived as everyone was so creative and no one wanted an off the shelf design...

Anyway my hosting business continues to this day, now running on several servers owned by my current company. In total I host and manage around 80 domains, sets of DNS records and email servers which are used by all sorts of different companies around the UK from one of the biggest Organic pork producers, to one of the largest UK mail order tent sellers through to tiny art projects and personal blogs.

I thought it may be interesting to post links to them here from time to time so you can see some of the wonderful stuff people are doing. Here's just a few to be going on with:

http://www.prettypregnant.com - A retailer of maternity wear (run by an old friend from eZoka days).

http://www.lomaxsculpture.com - A friend of mine who is a sculptor - absolutely stunning stuff, if you have some cash - please buy or commission a piece of his work.

http://www.marialloyd.co.uk - Our latest customer, and perhaps one of the stranger sites we host. Some very interesting art work.

http://www.weir-quay.com - A friend of ours who runs a boat yard in Devon.

http://www.prebendal.co.uk - A friend who runs a bed and breakfast in the village where I live.

http://www.tynash.com - A friend who is an author.

There are many many more and I'll post links to them here from time to time.
