Floods!

Wow! That was as bad as any journey I've ever had to make. It took me just a shade under 3hrs to travel the 24miles from work to home.

The weather was just appalling today with floods everywhere. I set off at 4pm ish to head home as we'd heard in the office that the roads were bad. Tim took 4hrs to get home, nearly getting stranded.

I'll let the pictures and videos tell the story.



At times the water came in through the bottoms of the door. My shoes and trousers were soaked by the time I got home. There were cars abandoned all over the place. Many I saw going much too fast, with the water rushing up into their engines, they soon stalled.
