Lisbon, Portugal and then some Brazil

Not much to report really. We landed almost on time and were quickly whizzed from the plane to the terminal in a bus.  This is like the plane I flew from LHR to Lisbon in.

I went through transfers no hassle.

Now waiting for the flight onwards to Fortaleza, Brazil.

Thanks go to Rob Levine for introducing me to Windows Live Writer - a piece of free software that lets you write the content for your blog even when you are no where near an internet connection! I am therefore able to continue the story from the sky...

This is the plane I am on. An Airbus A330. Its almost brand new by the looks of it. Very nice. I have 2 seats all to myself.

I've taken a few snaps of the in flight screen to show where I am as I write. Can't get the focus to be much better I am afraid.

The red line on the top image is the equator. So I am going to be not much below that. I guess it will be hot!

... later...

Yep its hot here. It was around 30C when we landed and doesn't seem any cooler now. Its not far off midnight and we've just come back from eating on the streets.

It took an age getting through immigration, but once through the Taxi's were orderly and smart and it all feels very safe. I arrived at the hotel around 9pm and quickly showered and headed off with the people I'm here to meet for something traditional to eat and drink.

I ate some beans cooked in a kind of cheesey sauce. Delicious. Sort of a fondue type affair. It came to the table bubbling furiously.

My old friend Simon and Doralez (recently married in Paraguay) sat opposite me and photo'd me too.

You can tell how hot it is from that photo!

Here's exactly where it was: http://www.divshare.com/download/4145700-909

I'm now back in my room, its midnight and I'm ready to sleep like a baby.
