Coleshill Organic Food Festival

While our entries to the annual flower show were being judged. Liz, Huw, Mabel, Millie and I headed over to Coleshill to the organic food festival.
Always a favourite event of mine, this year it was bigger than I've known it before with lots of stalls with everything from Organic Honey, through Beef, several Cheese stalls and on to some delicious local Perry (which I bought a flaggon of for later...)
I didn't take as many pictures as I should have done. But here's a few.
Millie enjoying the fun...
One of the staff I believe lives in this tent. All very eco friendly.
Magnificent runner beans under planted with clover to nitrogen fix. Must try that myself next year.
Organic Oyster mushrooms?
I wish we'd had more time to look around everything.

Adorable Miss Millie! Is she sticking out her tongue at the mushrooms? (If so, I'm right there with her!)
*wondering what a "flaggon of Perry" is and if it would go better with beef or chicken?? LOL
No - she was sticking her tongue out at me. I was sticking mine out at her!
A flaggon is a measure I've only ever come across in association with Cider (made from apples) and Perry (made from pears). It is 3 imperial pints. Perry is rapidly becoming my favourite tipple. The pub near where I work sells it on draught and its available bottled quite commonly now. We have also made it in Bishopstone to great effect... it seems to make stinky engines more fun...
It goes well with anything, especially when one consumes 2 or more pints of it...
