Classic courtesy

My 15yr old VW Golf decided to stop working properly a couple of days ago... after 12 months of service its been brilliant. If I'm honest there have been a growing list of things going wrong for some time and I've just put up with them. So in a year a car that cost me just over 3 times what it costs for 3 tanks of fuel to buy has done well. Its now in the garage having new rear wheel bearings, a new alternator, a new thermostat a set of leads and a distributor cap, the brakes done, the fluids changed and it will probably cost me almost what I paid for it in the first place.

Colin who runs Kingsdown Classics has leant me a courtesy car - a Wolseley 1100 - and very nice it is too.
