The fruits of hard labour result in global travel...

After several very tough weeks of superb work by my development team (in particular Simon C who stayed up several times until 3am and beyond working in this past week) the product is finally ready. I'm heading off to Bangladesh to train the first users and share with the suppliers of one of the worlds biggest retailers how to provide traceability on-line so the retailer can find out where the cotton they sell comes from. This is the start of a big change I feel. Thanks so much to the wonderful team we have, we are about to make a difference.

Later today I fly to Delhi in India, and from there to Dhaka in Bangladesh. I spend a few days there, then fly back to London Heathrow, stay a few hours in a hotel (no time to get home) and then fly off again to Lisbon in Portugal, then from there to Porto to meet with the Organic Exchange team at their global annual conference.

By the end of next week I will be ready for a break.

As I type this the final touches are being added to the product, the timescales are much tighter than I'd have chosen, but once again it looks like we've delivered what we said we would. And I love that.

Next post will be from somewhere on my journey... not sure when.
