The Morris Dancing Project

OK this is a bit secret so don't tell anyone... :-)

A bunch of Dads in Bishopstone are learning to do Morris Dancing... for an event that will take place later this summer. I'm not saying much about it right now. But keep watching this space...

We met tonight for the first time and decided upon our costume and learned a few dance steps. It was of course followed by a swift few bevvies at the True Heart pub - isn't that what Morris Dancing is all about...? At least that's why we agreed to do it.

I've got some video of us learning, but won't publish it just yet as it will give the game away.

A few notable faces were notably absent - come on chaps its just a bit of fun and there is nothing "gay" about it!

For those who have no idea what Morris Dancing is - please see this earlier post.

Brilliant! We were looking at asking a bunch of Morris Dancers to come and dance for us at our end of School Term Hog Roast. So if you are up and running for the 11th July and can be there for 5.30 you have your first gig booked!

Dee - it's a twisted mind... :-)

Jo - we're going to be a one off. BUT... I did suggest to some of them that it may be quite fun to do it occasionally and it wasn't dismissed outright.

Next practice Sunday morning! With some of the outfit on...
