On the Ridgeway in the Fog
Saturday started with a heavy misty heat hazy sort of fog. The water droplets were visible to the naked eye, and all the spiders webs were suddenly visible. Are they there all the time and we simply don't see them I started wondering?

Not the best pictures in the world, but some from the garden and some from the Ridgeway.
As I headed up the hill from Bishopstone on my bike the sun was just breaking through, and once I reached the top every now and then I could see that I was above the clouds. A lovely feeling.
Before long I'd reached Wayland's Smithy. I normally ride on by, but today decided to have a look. The first time I've been in there for over a year I'd say.

I took a few photos on my phone and headed on my way, until I reached the sight below. The fields were holding the mist and emerging from the distance were small stacks of straw. It reminded me of a time gone by. The same sight must have been seen for decades up here. I'd love to live up here somewhere in a little Romany Gypsy Wagon with a woodburner and solar panels to provide power for the internet!

On the way back I took a detour off to the left and over to the woods at Ashdown House, and back through the fields to the Ridgeway. I'm gussing that makes it about a 10 mile round trip.

Loved your pix of the spider webs.
They're beautiful to look at, but I don't want them ON me!
