Bye, bye Unwin
After several years of ownership and the last 2 sat on my drive unused I've finally sold my 1958 Austin A35. It hasn't gone far, only over the road to a friend. A few weeks ago he knocked on my door and asked me if I was interested in selling him.
I'd been intending to do him up and fit a more modern 1275 A+ engine, plus MG Midget gearbox. I've already switched the front brakes over to discs, they just need the calipers bolting on and plumbing in. Ah well, I really don't have time to finish him and I really do need the money. So all in all a good solution I think

Here he is sitting on the drive at his new home.
It must be a year or so since I last started his engine and after several minutes of turning it over and over he eventually started. Off I drove on the handbrake only a couple of hundred yards to my friends drive. I felt quite sad saying good bye. I must have done 30 to 40,000 miles in him. These pictures make him look a lot better than he really is.
This may be a more realistic one!
