Community Veg Patch

In our little village we are blessed with a large pond. In the middle of it is a large island roughly 50m by 30m in size. Recently the village purchased the pond and island from the Church Commissioners and now holds it in trust for all the village.

Its taken some time to come together, but at last some work is being done to make the island a useful feature for the local community.

Earlier today Mabel and I went to help a bunch of others do some clearing and digging to get it ready for a vegetable patch that the school will take care of.
