Post from Shanghai

I've finally arrived in Shanghai. Its an immense city. Glad to be here after such a long flight. It was however a very comfortable one. I did 4 hours work, plugged my lap top into the powers supply provided. Had a delicious meal and then had a good 3 hours sleep in a bed!

It feels very remote here. The internet is OK in the hotel, but many of the social sites I use cannot be reached, so I can't Twitter, Facebook or blog. However I did discover that using a trick we use at work, I could tunnel through to Blogger. I suspect that this could be frowned upon so won't do it much... it didn't work for Twitter or Facebook though which surprised me.

I can however send SMS to the UK Twitter number which then posts content onto Twitter and Facebook for me. I can't see any twitter responses, so will have to save those until my return. I can however see Facebook responses as they come to me via email - so please say hello!
