A day in Seattle

I've been in my hotel room for most of the day, working on a some material for a workshop session I am presenting on Thursday. The Google map above shows the actual room I am in centre of the picture on the first floor.

These pictures were taken looking back towards my hotel. Its a pleasant place.

I did pop out for lunch though and met up with a couple of the Organic Exchange folks for a bite to eat. We wandered up to Pike Street which has a big fish market and lots of small cafes and interesting shops. It reminds me a bit of somewhere else, but I've not been able to think where yet...

I saw this lovely market stall selling these wonderfully coloured chillis just outside the fish market.

Later on Ashley arrived [last time I saw her was in Porto last October - but it seems more recent than that and I can't believe the time has passed so quickly since then]. We are presenting a workshop together on Thursday and we met up to discuss it and put the world right over a coffee and sort of a mulled non alcoholic apple juice which was billed as "Hot cider" [nice but not what I expected...]

Walking back to the hotel from the cafe the sun was setting. Here I am looking old and tired with the sun setting behind me. Its quite cold here now and I could do with buying a jumper!
