Snow in Bishopstone

Its been a strange week. Unusually for England we've had some serious snow. Enough to close the schools and stop me getting into work.

Here's some shots I've taken around Bishopstone over the past few days. Scroll to the bottom and you'll also see a video of Liz on a sledgey sort of blow-up thingy... Plus some video from Mike Barrett skiing.

Liz, Mandy and Lorna having a laugh.

What brilliant pics. I loved the video of Liz going down the slope. Jealpus - we never had that much snow!

Its been lovely Jo. Work wise its been a disaster. I've no where to work at home anymore since I lost my office to a bedroom. Trying to work with teenagers and little ones irritating each other has been a nightmare this week. I can't wait to get back to work.

That said, sledging just before dark most days this week was brilliant fun. Apres sledge never quite came off tho... children too cold.

Lovely pics. Thanks so much for putting them up. I have loved the snow and these will be good memories for me. I walked for two hours on the Ridgeway above Bishopstone on Saturday in the lovely late afternoon and sunset and was so glad there was still some snow there. I feel like crying that it's all gone -- only a few streaks up at Liddington. Ok, work was a disaster, but I will never forget this beautiful winter.

Thanks for the message Polly. I was up above Bishy late Saturday afternoon too. I wonder if we passed and didn't realise. I miss the snow too - I keep hoping it will come back. But also can't wait for spring to come and see the shoots of this year's veg coming up.
