Winter in the new woods

It's been ages since I've posted. It's not that nothing has happened. On the contrary, I've been too busy to have much personal life to report on and the work stuff is confidential.

Anyway today I got out in the wet and cold for the first time in a week or so with Nelson and Mabel.



We walked down the Drove Road to the new woods and everything is so different now from how it was back in the summer. The woods were flooded - I hope it doesn't cause any damage.

It was getting dark as we headed back home. This was at 3.50pm ish! Currently the sun doesn't bother putting his hat on until "Sunrise 08:05 (GMT)" and goes back to bed at "Sunset 15:58 (GMT)" according the the BBC Weather site. Thats just 8 hours of the day when the sun is up. Actually its more like 7 given the wet gloomy weather we've been having. No wonder I feel down. Another week or so and yay(!) - the days start to get longer again.
