Where dictators once sat

My earlier post about the dragons was entirely spurious it seems. The Dragons are the local football team in Vrhnika - so slaying them would not be a good move! An interesting start to the day all the same.

My final day in Vrhnika started with a walk into work again. Its a fine walk - about the right distance to walk to work with a bag containing a computer on ones back! Much further and it would start to get too heavy.

Today Igor took me to the Technical Museum of Slovenia which is very near to Vrhnika. A lovely old museum in a beautiful location. The museum is in an old monastry. http://tms.pfmb.uni-mb.si/eng/informacije/index.html

As well as many old bits of industrial heritage the museum holds a collection of President Tito's cars. This I found fascinating. In particular seeing a 1937 Packard 12 which had been presnted to Tito by Stalin I found particularly interesting. I leant over the barrier and touched it. Tito had used this up until 1959 travelling in India and Burma in it. I wonder if he went to Indore?
